Plastidipping foam claws...?

I've been experimenting on claw options for my Chibisuke suit (still) and am trying plastidip on claw-shaped foam pieces... So right now I have my test one hanging and drying and I think it's going to give me a "drip" on the very end... any one know if I can sand that off without any major problems?

Or if anyone has another idea on making these claws (they're relatively large. 3 inches long-ish and thick), I'd be happy to hear. ^^
