Fur quality?

I recently bought 5 yards of shag white from fabric.com and ive ordered this fur plenty of times before, but its not the same quality. The older stuff is more dense and fluffy, this new stuff is thin and doesnt shave down well. It looks and feels the same, but its just not as great as it was before. Has anyone else had this issue, is it just fabric.com or is it the manufacturer?
