Nox- animated rain

(no subject)

Do Liquitex soft body acrylics work well on leather? I am making a collar that has to be white, and my white leather dye is just not cutting it. (may be okay with layers...too cold for it to dry tonight).

I'm looking for a nice smooth opaque white. It will have to take some abuse, as it is a collar and it will be buckled and unbuckled.

So, is the soft body acrylic an option in this situation?

Thanks all!

Digitigrade legs...

subtitled "ahhh, jesus..."

Today I finally got motivated to build my next suit. I'm starting with the digitigrade legs. They way I'm approaching this is with a pair of pajama pants and lots of stuffing.

I sewed them straight onto the pants with no cutting involved. After I found out that the legs were sewn on at different heights I decided to call it quits. That's what I get for going to bed at 6 am. I'll add on the lower padding later.

My questions:
-will this difference in height be noticeable once I complete the suit? It doesn't seem that obvious even right now. The pattern I drew up seems forgiving enough to let me get away with that.
-the padding seems to be too 'inside'. The pants are rather baggy, though. After I'm done with all this, should I see about making the pants fit closer?
-is this sufficient stuffing to get the desired effect?
-should I add butt padding? I see that a number of digitigrade suits have padding on the behind. I'm quite skinny and to be honest, I have almost no natural padding back there. Should I look into this?

I'd like to hear your opinions on my situation, and I hope you find my pocket pattern useful!
