fabric.com mixup? Or me just being stupid?

Has anyone ever bought "Plush Faux Fur Red" from them before? I recently ordered some, and it came in today. It's...not at all what I was expecting based on both the image they show for it and their description.

That seems like a deep red of mediumish pile, right? And the description that accompanies it claims it's about 1/2 inch.

But this is what I received. It's a normal, bright red, and the pile is very short, about 1/4 inch. The tag that was on it in the box matches the code on the site, and on my invoice, but...can this really be the same fur?

I wanted to see if anyone else ordered it before, and if this is what it really is before I e-mail customer service. If it is what it is, then I'll just knock myself on the head for not getting a swatch first (it's on clearance and non-reorderable, and the last time I waited for a swatch of something they ended up selling out so I kinda just jumped on this.) If it is indeed the wrong fur, then I'll e-mail them and see if there's anything to be done about it.

It is a very nice fur, but it's not at all what I was looking for. I'm sure I can find something to use it for in the future if they don't ask me to return it and I end up stuck with it.

I recently posted here about fleece and fur heads (thankyou, by the way, to everyone who replied. it helped).
But now I have another question. Before I tape up the foam base, I want to make it the best I can, but it is very difficult to do since I don't have any base to put it on, like a styrofoam head. The head is made from a balaclava, so it isn't sturdy enough to just hold. Does anyone know what I could use to make it better?

I'm looking at it now and the top and bottom of the jaw are both really crooked. I don't have enough foam to make new ones, and i just can't seem to be able to get them straight. and the holes for the eyes are different sizes. Oh, and not to mention the top jaw is way longer than the bottom.

I took pictures from a bunch of angles. here you can see all the problems. There are too many to count, I'd say.
So, in short, my question is, what exactly should I do to make this base....you know, actually good?

Cuddle-soft Fleece fursuit attempt.

Heres my almost finnished coondog/ raccoon fursuit head, with a cuddle fleece face. all it needs is neck flaps.

I was at my local fabric store and saw this great cuddle fleece, it was thinner than usual cuddle fleece, that is the white fabric, the gray is a thicker cuddle fleece. im nearly out of the cream :( but im using the last bit of it on my timid fox head :3 i had to really round out the shape to get the fabric to stretch over it after my first attempt failed. i think it worked out ok, so i will be doing this again.

Tail Trouble

Hello! I'm new here!

I am about to start on my 1st fullsuit but I am having a little dilemma with my characters tail.

She looks like this.  http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6064245/

The problem I know I will end up having is how to do that tail because I still want it to swish around and I don't really know what to make the ball on the end of her tail out of.

Does anyone have any advice on how to help me? I would greatly appreciate the help!

Flame Point Cat

I got full permission from the customer before touching/putting anything on my cat.

I have been wanting to make a Falme Point because of my cat. Creampuff is a cat I adopted in December of 2007 as an adult...and she is a very unique cat, she just fills my life with joy. Never have I met another cat who can be so smart and a dipshit at the same time, lol.
I work with 2 cat rescues (I namely foster pregnant cats and mamas with new babies) and between the cats I have owned and fostered I have had at least 50 cats in my life (not 50 all at once, I mean over the years) and none of them have been nearly as dog-like or human-like as Creampuff.

Okay. I finally taped the foam base up after I made it a bit better. And thankyou to swayswolf for showing me the right shape. I am almost ready to fur it, I just need to edit the tape a liiiittle bit more, and then I will cover it with the fleece and fur.

Now. I went to my fabric store to get buckram, but couldn't find any. the lady at the store ended up giving me a different fabric that i can just barely see out of.... I was going to use it, but I'm not really sure about it. and I know it's hard to believe, but I have searched like, every store and could not find any white plastic bowls to use instead. So what do you reccomend I use?
