Gluing question

When gluing globes to the buckram, do you just put a bead of hot glue all around the edges like so?

Or is there a better, less messy/more aesthetically pleasing way to do it? I'm at the point where my buckram is nearly dry and I can glue the globes.

Doesn't matter. Cut a separate piece for the tear duct and for the iris/pupil.

If you need to use the same piece for both then glue it using whatever because you'll be covering up the area all around the eye.

Just to be more clear, you should not have the eye and the buckram touching visibly because there is no way to make that join look good.

So if I use the same piece, use hot glue (which will show), then what should I use between the eye and the tear duct sections of the buckram to hide the seam? I thought you had the tear duct and the eye touching on some of your heads...?

Or should I put a thin eyelid along the bottom (something I hadn't thought of)?
