How DO you make those Animal Costumes? (Fursuits)
Crepe vs. fatigue mat / rubber mat

Loved, Nostalgic, Thought Of - Flower
I just resoled a friend's set of feet today and may be and will be resoling another set soon. The previous "sole" was some kind of rubber mat that could be easily scratched or pierced.

I use a "D" texture dalsoft crepe (11.5 iron) from a cobbler downtown that runs me about $27 and can get a few pairs out of it.

Contact cement can be purchased at any hardware or shoe repair shop. Simple coat both sides, let it dry until tacky to the touch, and press both ends together. To cheat a little, a small bit of hot glue can be jammed in / fur covering the sides.

For those of you who work on many pairs of feet, I highly suggest looking into the material.

I'll take some outside tomorrow. It looks like a thick black sheet of a condensed foam rubber. Basically, look at the bottom of dress shoes. It's similar to that.

Where is downtown? Anyplace else that you can get it?
