How DO you make those Animal Costumes? (Fursuits)
Alternatives to white fur or advice to make white fur look good for years?

Hey! I am new to the fursuit making scene and is currently trying to save up to make a fursuit and in the making of a character, I want to make a cat but I know all black is a bad idea for photos ect and white details get dirty and bad looking fast. I wonder if there are some kind of alternative to white fur that still would look good? I sort of want a tuxedo cat or like a tabby with white markings. So all advice is welcome! Even how to get white fur looking good for years.

Thank you all!

I would say just use white fur, a ton of suits do and look good. I've seen all white/mostly white suits lol. You should be cleaning your fursuit often (ideally after every use), so it shouldn't get to the point where it's extremely dirty anyway. As long as you maintenance your suit, it should last just as well as any other color.

Like dinocanid said, you should be cleaning fursuits regularly, at least spot-cleaning. Follow the cleaning guidelines for whatever type of fabric/material the fur is made out of, look up tutorials in this community, etc. You should be able to keep white fur (most furs, actually) looking good for a long time. Another tip is to not put white fur on high-use areas like the feet and hands.
